    Dignity Action Day (DAD) was held yesterday (25 February 2010). The day was by large a huge success. DAD was a day where we asked health and social care staff and members of the public to take action on or around this date to promote the dignity of people receiving care.

    Comedian Jo Brand and actor Kevin Whately are launching a new leaflet today (Tuesday 23 February) to help tackle poor dementia care in hospitals. The Alzheimer's Society tool is designed to help hospital staff better understand the needs of people with dementia. 'This is me' comes following the publication last November of Counting the Cost: caring for people with dementia on hospital wards which found large variations in the quality of care for people with dementia.
