We are aware that many people have left the sector during the past few years, either because of feeling they need a break or because they have reached the age when they wish to do other things. However this means that a wealth of expertise, knowledge and skill is being lost as people take up new roles. Together with the Residential Forum and others we are keen to make sure that this loss is not permanent. 

We are therefore signed up to supporting a virtual group that is being established to give retired managers and those that have left the service a way of continuing to influence the development of the sector, and have contact with like minded people.

We are delighted that Richard Banks will be attending todays meeting to talk more about this idea. Richard will join us at 1.15 although he has to leave by 2.00 we will still have time to discuss the proposal and agree a way forward.

All are welcome to stay for this but only Trustees can vote on any
decisions to be taken.
