Protecting dignity by respecting people's beliefs and values

Old forum user 10/03/22 Dignity Champions forum

Hi,
I work for a charity called Vegetarian for Life based in the UK. We support older vegans and vegetarians to keep their diets in later life.
This is all about making sure that people have dignity into later life. We want to make sure that they have the rights and ability to practice beliefs that matter to them.
We would love to hear your thoughts on this and whether you have any experiences of times when people’s dietary beliefs have been overlooked in care settings.
If you want to discuss in more depth, you can contact us directly here as well:
Thank you
