I wanted to say that in my experience as an activity COordinater, I. Have found that keeping it simple works best for our groups and we choose activity sessions based on client interaction and feedback.
Although activity groups are planned they often take a new direction led by those participating and their needs at the time.
All activities are adaptable to meet individual abilities and interests on the day. I just wanted to share this as some of their best times were possible in their eyes because we followed their lead.

Hi Debra, I have no actual experience of that - but, to me it makes perfect sense that people will be more engaged, and more satisfied, if they are 'steering the activity'. I suspect your comments are spot-on - and I really liked:
