Over 100,000 postcards distributed
We recently undertook some analysis of the cards we have distributed so far and thought you might find the highlights useful;. We will certainly be using the more detailed information to target our reach in the future.
Since we started issuing the postcards in October 2020 up to December 2024 we have distributed over 100,000 cards across the three types.
Although we have needed to limit the numbers of cards any one setting can request for free, there is still a steady flow of requests from across England and Wales.
The vast majority of those supplied have been spread almost equally across the Welcome and the Social Care postcards with only just under a 1/5th being Health postcards.
As you might expect from those figures the majority of those requesting postcards are from the social care sector, and cover mainly residential and nursing homes, but also domiciliary care and supported living services.
We are also conscious that requests are more numerous from urban areas than rural areas, this may just be a factor related to density of health and social care settings. We are therefore going to spend some time in the coming year looking at what we can do to improve our reach in rural and health settings.
We are extremely grateful to Spectrum Consortium (opens new window) who over the last three years have sponsored the welcome and social care postcards.
Given the numbers that have been requested it is clear that these postcards are enabling you to seek and receive feedback from those you support.
