Dignified Revolution Training Events

A Dignified Revolution are having three Training events 'Perceptive Professionals Embedding Dignity and Respect in a Care Environment', 3 February 2010, 15 February 2010 and 17 Mark 2010.

These training events are all focused on different topics:

3 February 2010, Cardiff, objectives are:

  • Appreciate more fully what dignity means to a patient
  • Experience what being treated disrespectfully feels like
  • Practice using practical tools to increase the respect shown to patients
  • Understand that staff are also entitled to be treated with respect
  • Enhance your communication skills
  • Take an action plan back to the workplace

Cowbridge, South Wales 15 February 2010 objectives:

  • Understand personality disorders and social psychopathy
  • Be able to spot the warning signs
  • Develop practical actions
  • Learn what you should not do
  • Appreciate that the perpetrator needs help

Wednesday 17 March 2010, Cardiff, learning objectives are:

  • Increased understanding of the Human Rights Act
  • Developing a Human Rights approach to the care setting
  • Using the Act to gain practical improvements in care
