It's a bake day

Our lounge was transformed into a busy bustling kitchen for the morning. There was lots of laughter and fun as residents rolled pastry, mixed ingredients and chatted about their favourite cakes. We even provided washing-up bowls, tea-towels to clear up afterwards! Cakes and pastries were presented at tea-time and residents were delighted to see their cakes being eaten and enjoyed by all.

The residents enjoyed the baking so much, they want it to be a regular activity in the home. Tasks we all take for granted gave the residents such a sense of purpose and achievement which was wonderful to see.
