Warrington

Over 100 social care staff gathered together in Warrington at an event to promote good practice and support staff to be ambassadors for dignity in their organisation.

The event was an important part of our local strategy to promote good practice and raise standards of care. It was supported by Warrington Borough Council and Warrington Social Care Partnership with funding from Skills for Care.

Dignity champions recruited from the event will be supported with further training and regular meetings to sustain an environment where people in care are treated as individuals, given choice and control, provided with stimulating activities and have a sense of purpose in their daily lives.

Warrington Borough Council provider services also held a variety of activities in both residential and community day care settings, including pamper sessions, afternoon tea and a Wii tournament with children from a local primary school.
