Relaxing hand massages, delicious home-made cookies and prize bingo were amongst the activities enjoyed by residents at Grovenor Court sheltered accommodation in Orrel during a social event to mark Dignity Action Day on 25th February.
The event was organised by Home Instead Senior Care in Wigan who have pledged their continuing support for the national ‘Dignity in Care’ campaign, headed by Dignity Ambassador Sir Michael Parkinson to promote treating people with dignity as a basic human right.
Home Instead business owner Phil Eckersley commented:“It is important to raise awareness of Dignity Action Day to promote the values it represents because we believe that care services must be person centered; people must be treated as individuals and provided with the high quality care they deserve.”
