Transforming Community Services
On 24 June, Lord Darzi launched Six Transformational Guides for Community services, which will support NHS practitioners and clinical leaders to transform services locally and help empower local staff to lead on modernising community services.
The guides cover six clinical and service areas including acute care closer to home, people with long-term conditions and end of life care.
The Quality Framework for Community Services is also now available to help measure and improve the quality of community services. The guidance includes more than 70 proposed quality indicators, with further guidance around the indictors likely to be published in the autumn and early 2010.
Pages 19 and 20 of the Transforming Community Services Quality Framework include the proposed dignity and respect indicators.
