The Care Act: One year on report - from Carers Trust

Carers Trust's new report 'Care Act for carers: One year on' (opens new window) showed that there are some carers who are getting good support under the Care Act, as well as some examples of good practice.

The report also showed what needs to improve. Amongst the recommendations was a call to councils, Local Government Association (LGA) and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) to review their systems for monitoring progress in implementing the Act; as well as further investment and training for social workers and assessors.
