Rate your GP on dignity and respect

You can now compare GP practices and post online feedback on your experience of visiting your GP practice on NHS Choices. Patient comments appear on the practice profile pages on the website.

Patients can indicate whether they would recommend their practice and rate the practice on aspects of their experience, such as how easy it was to make a convenient appointment and whether they felt they were treated with dignity and respect. Free text boxes enable patients to provide more detail about their individual experience.

Importantly, practices can post responses to each comment and these appear underneath the original comment. Practice feedback is pre-moderated to protect practices and staff from unwarranted threats to their reputation

Adding to this new feature NHS Choices now enables users to review and contrast important information about up to five practices easily on one page, by 'shortlisting' practices and then comparing them. The results include details of clinics, extended opening hours, and parking facilities. This helps patients to identify the best practice for themselves and their families.
