Activity Calendar

As 2027 approaches we are working on the Dignity Calendar, ready for its publication in December.  We are grateful to Herefordshire Care Homes (opens new window) for their continued sponsorship of this online resource.  It means we can continue to offer access to the Calendar free of charge to Dignity Champions.  This year’s theme is Dignity Well Being and we are focussing on well-being and how we can highlight the ways in which we can both recognise the effect and impact of the factors that affect our well-being; and take action to mitigate those effects.

Champions Pack

Wish to show your commitment to the Dignity Campaign, this Champions pack contains a certificate of commitment [printed on card]; a heart dignity badge, a wristband, a copy of the Dignity Do's and The Workplace Dignity Do's  and a voucher for attendance at a National Dignity Council hosted webinar.

By purchasing this pack you will be both demonstrating your commitment and supporting the campaign financially.  We will also check with you annually to ascertain whether you are still involved in the campaign. The cost is £15.00 inclusive of postage and packing.

What Would You Do discussion set

Many of you have commented very positively on the What Would You Do dilemmas that have been posted on our Facebook page (opens new window).  They have, we know, been used in staff meetings and supervision to facilitate discussion as well as training tools for specific areas of practice.

We are therefore bringing them together in a pack format to enable them to use them more easily as a teaching and training tool.  The dilemmas will look at a range of settings, hospital, supported living, residential care, nursing care, domiciliary care and personal assistants, and cover issues that are workplace, everyday care practice, safeguarding, mental capacity and DoLs initially.

We are currently putting the final touches to this and look to have it available for purchase early in the new year.

Culture training pack

We have become aware that for many organisations the creation of culture that is open as opposed to closed is a challenge.  It is often when there is a safeguarding incident that it emerges that a closed culture has developed, sometimes without anyone realising what is going on.

We have therefore been working on a new training pack that looks at the nature of organisational cultures, their connection to Dignity and how open cultures can be encouraged and established.  This too will be published early in the New Year.
