Medicines in health and social care

Over the next three months CQC will be shining a spotlight on medicines. This month they are focussing on The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) campaign, 'Involved & informed: good community medicines support'.

NICE in collaboration with several other partner organisations, including CQC, launched the initiative last year to encourage better medicines support for people who are receiving social care services in their homes.

As the regulator they are in a unique position to be able to drive improvement in this area by highlighting to you the importance of the guideline NG67 and the associated quality standard.

There are also plenty of tools and resources to assist you, as well as the CQC report on medicines in health and social care.
