Launch of the 'Respect For Dignity Kitemark'

This conference will be hosted by Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council and will provide delegates with the opportunity to reflect on the campaign and make steps to improving the overall standard and experience of care which individuals receive.

The conference will profile the launch of Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council's Respect for Dignity Kitemark. Developed as a self-audit tool, the Kitemark will be awarded to care home providers who are actively seen to be delivering a service which promotes dignity in care and ensures that service users are treated in a dignified and respectful manner. In addition to the launch of this Kitemark, the conference will also address best practice in dignity in care related issues in the following workshops: MCA and DoLS, Medication, Nutrition, End of Life Care, Meaningful Activities and Person Centred Planning.
