Help local people have a voice on their future care and support

DH wants as many people as possible to have their say on proposals for a National Care Service. The consultation has received an encouraging response so far, and DH are embarking on a full regional programme of events with stakeholders and the public to take the Big Care Debate around the country.

Further details of public and stakeholder events are available at www.careandsupport.direct.gov.uk.

Last week, DH launched a set of resources to help stakeholders and the public run their own Big Care Debates. These are now available at the link below.

These include:

Step-by-step Guide: How to hold your own Big Care Debate

This document includes the key discussion issues and guidance on how to use the rest of the toolkit, guidelines for facilitators and attendees, templates for written responses and a feedback form.

The Big Care Questionnaire

This contains all the questions from the Green Paper in one quick and clear document. We are setting this up as an interactive document on our website so people can fill it in and submit it on-line.

Big Care Debate invitation letter

A branded invitation letter for people to send out, with spaces for them to insert their own details.
