Dignity Action Month roundup

We were delighted that so many champions took the opportunity to celebrate Dignity Action Month, using various suggestions from our Daily list and the Calendar.

Many of our champions told us about their activities on our Facebook group (opens new window) and Memory book. Below are just a sample of some of things they did.

  • Milford House did a Cheese and Wine evening and celebrated Chinese New Year
  • Belmont View held a Valentine’s Day event,  and a pizza night
  • White lodge had an art event

Gemma Roberts from Meadowside and St Francis in Plymouth... "We are proud to support Dignity Action Month, a time to celebrate respect, compassion, and person-centred care.

Dignity means treating every individual with kindness, listening to their wishes, valuing their choices, and ensuring they feel safe, valued, and heard every day.

Throughout the month, our residents and staff took part in meaningful activities and conversations that promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Together, we are committed to going the extra mile to ensure everyone is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. "
