This report has been developed with Department of Health funding. Its main aim is to enable leaders and managers in social care to support and develop their workforce who are working with people with dementia from different cultures and backgrounds.
The particular focus will be for leaders and managers supporting staff working with:
- people with dementia who are from a black, Asian or minority ethnic
- background (BAME)
- people with dementia who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT)
- people with young-onset dementia.
