Consultation by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Equality and Human Rights Commission about new guidance for CQC inspectors and Assessors on 'Equality and Human Rights in the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety'.

Dignity champions have been asked if they would like to respond to a consultation by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Equality and Human Rights Commission about new guidance for CQC inspectors and assessors 'Equality and Human Rights in the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety'.

Inspectors and assessors will be able to look to this guidance when they monitor health and social care providers according to CQC standards and registration requirements.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission would like to encourage people who use services, providers, commissioners and any other interested party to get involved with this consultation. Please send your responses by 12 November 2010.
