CSED joins networks family

The Care Services Efficiency Delivery (CSED) programme will be joining the networks website as part of our new-look design and revamp.

CSED helps councils to identify and develop more efficient ways of delivering adult social care.

As well as more effective working practices and processes, better commissioning and improved service planning, the programme highlights efficiency solutions that support sustainable transformation set out in Putting People First.

Closer collaboration between councils and local partners to pool resources, greater focus on prevention and early intervention and easier access to advice and information for local people are all areas with potential to create efficiencies, make better use of the money in the system and, most importantly, improve services.

Working through the DH's Social Care, Local Government and Care Partnerships Directorate and in close collaboration with Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships and Joint Improvement Partnerships, the CSED team offers councils access to a range of skills and expertise including social care delivery, commissioning, business process re-engineering, technology, finance and data management and analysis.

Efficiency solutions span the full breadth of care and support management, from re-ablement and crisis response services to demand forecasting and better buying.

As part of the new networks portal, CSED's new website will continue to provide all its users, whatever your role in adult social care, with practical tools and real life case studies that help meet efficiency objectives.
