Annual General Meeting roundup

On the 8th October we held our Annual General Meeting, we were able to complete the business part of the agenda and introduce some new products that we have been working on during the summer.

We are pleased to announce that all the Trustees who were up for re-election were confirmed in post and that Roisin Burton and Alex Lewney were re-elected as Chair and Vice Chair respectively.

The Annual Report was presented by Jan Burns MBE our Chief Executive and she highlighted that we had continued to recruit Champions and could celebrate the fact that over 196,000 champions have committed to uphold the 10 Dignity Do’s since the Campaign first started.

The financial position of the Campaign remains reliant on donations and occasional income from bids for specific pieces of work.

We are working on finding ways to bid for grants so that we can continue to deliver the support that Champions and those receiving services find so important.

Although we do not provide direct services to those receiving care and support we are very aware of how providing those who deliver services, as well as the wider public with tools and resources that enable them to understand the value and vital role that Dignity plays in the experience of individuals.  It is therefore vitally important that we continue to find ways of raising funds, be that through grants or donations.

The minutes of both the business and open parts of the AGM together with the Annual Report can be found here.
