Action
In April this year we heard that Bedford Rowing Club was proposing to introduce rowing for disabled people. Since then there has been some progress and the Club has just been given a grant for purpose built boats. One person has not only started, but has great ambitions! Also at the Bedford Spring 'Head of the River' (a time trial) this year, five people with disabilities competed, four ladies and one man.
The Club has been fortunate in securing a grant from Sports England and the local newspaper picked up on the inclusion of rowers with disabilities in this year's events.
