2025 AGM review
On 15th October, WORLD DIGNITY DAY the National Dignity Council held its Annual General Meeting.
This year the decision had been taken to use the open part of the meeting showcase the new products that the Council has been developing over the past twelve months.
The AGM was attended by Trustees, and 38 dignity champions, and saw the approval of the Annual Report which had already been posted on the website and the appointment of three new Trustees. Paul Donohue and Steph Willbye who had been introduced to you in our last newsletter and Liz Taylor, who will already be known to you as our Honorary Secretary. Liz is not relinquishing that role, but wants to get much more involved in supporting and developing champion networks and felt that she would be more able to do that as a Trustee.
Alex Lewney stood down as Chair of the Board of Trustees and Roisin Burton took up the position. Alex Lewney will continue to support Roisin in the newly created role of Vice Chair. Alan Clarke MBE completed his current term of office as a Trustee and because of personal circumstances decided not to stand for re-election. The Council thank him for his long and enthusiastic service and support and wish him well. Hopefully he will return if circumstances permit.
