Dignity Trees

We have eight Sheltered Schemes in Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing; to each of these we delivered a Dignity Tree on February 1st 2012. The tenants were encouraged to write on a leaf what dignity means to them. At some of the Schemes this was coupled with friendship groups, pamper events, coffee morning etc. The trees are in the foyer of each scheme, and all tenants, relatives, friends, support staff, visitors, workmen etc have been encouraged to complete a leaf. The trees will remain in the schemes for some months; then when the leaves "fall" they will be collected and recorded. The response to the trees has been very positive and many have lots of spring foliage already.

Many of our staff have also signed up to become Dignity Champions and are doing a brilliant job at spreading the word.

Many thanks for everyone’s support.
