As you Like It cafe.

My colleague and I prepared the dining room,formally inviting our residents to join us for afternoon tea. We dressed as waiters in black and white and had our notebooks ready to take orders. Chef prepared a delicious array of cakes on a cake trolley. Each person chose cakes and were offered a variety of teas; earl grey,indian and fruit .We encouraged them to pour tea for themselves from the teapot on the table. We saw people asking others on their table if they would like sugar and milk and pouring the tea from the teapot. All in all everyone enjoyed the day, including family and staff who were also encouraged to sit and relax for a few minutes. Dignity for all.Cherrytrees Nursing Home, (Barchester Healthcare).
