The internet provides new ways for individuals to share information, views and opinions widely.

Dignity Champions may wish to consider using blogging as a means to raise the profile of dignity in care. Powerful blogs can include things like day to day diaries of experiences of care services (good and bad). Champions may also choose to discuss and share views and best practice on dignity in online discussion groups and service user forums.

Youtube also provides interesting opportunities for dignity champions to raise awareness of dignity in care through the use of shared video. To date people have posted clips from events on dignity in care and examples of best practice.

NHS Choices now provides discussion forums for patients.
