VE Celebrations

Themed Street Party & Decorations

  • Host a 1940s-style street party indoors or in the garden with red, white and blue bunting, paper lanterns and vintage-style posters.

Music, Singing & Two-Minute Silence

  • Lead a sing-along of wartime favorites—“We’ll Meet Again,” “The White Cliffs of Dover” and “There’ll Always Be an England.” At 3:00 pm, pause for the national two-minute silence to honor those who served and sacrificed.

VE Day Tea Party

  • Serve scones with jam and cream, cucumber sandwiches and mild tea or fruit infusions.
