Fruit Kebabs
As we move through autumn and have the pleasure of the fruits of the orchards and hedgerows why not try these kebabs. It’s a different way of enjoying nature’s bounty.
Ingredients makes 6-8 kebabs
Use any of the following
- ½ Pineapple, 2 apples, 2 pears, 12 blackberries, 1 mango, 1 clementine,
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Tablespoon of runny honey
- Plain Greek Yogurt or fromage fraiche to serve
Method
- Peel the pineapple, apple, pear and mango.
- Cut the larger fruit into 1 cm cubes.
- Segment the clementine and remove as much of the pith as you can
- Thread onto skewers alternating the fruits.
- Mix the lemon juice and honey together
- Baste the fruit skewers with the honey mixture
- Cook on a griddle or under the grill for 1 minute each side until just beginning to brown and soften.
- Serve while still warm with the fromage fraiche or yogurt.
