How to make you witches hats
- Start by drawing a half circle of about 20cm radius on the black card and cut it out.
- Curl the circle round to make a cone and glue the long edges together.
- Carefully cut 1 cm slits around the base of the cone. And bend these outwards.
- Measure the diameter of the base of the cone at its widest point.
- Draw a circle on the card using the compasses and then draw another circle using the same midpoint about 2cm bigger.
- Cut out the big circle and then the smaller circle to create the brim of the hat.
- Check that your brim fits over the hat and sits on the frilled edges. Adjust the central hole if needed.
- Glue the brim and stick to the frilled edges.
- Then embellish to your heart's content with a mix of ribbons, glitter, and other decorative elements to give each hat a unique flair.
