Hanukkah is a significant Jewish holiday celebrated around the world. The dates changes every year, but it will always fall in November or December and lasts for eight days. It commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem after the Maccabean Revolt of the 2nd century BCE. Families gather to light the menorah, share gifts, and enjoy traditional foods.
Every life deserves a certain amount of dignity no matter how poor or damaged the shell that carries it.
