“Talk about the meaning of dreams in a reminiscence session.”

This September our Dignity Tour takes us to...

Yorkshire

Known for its Roman and Viking heritage, as well as its Norman castles, medieval abbeys, Industrial Revolution-era cities and 2 national parks. York, founded by the Romans, is home to 13th-century cathedral York Minster, Tudor houses and medieval walls. The interactive Jorvik Viking Centre recalls the area’s 9th-century Norse occupation.

Did You Know...

William Wilberforce [1759-1833] was born in Hull, East Yorkshire.  He devoted his life to campaigning against the slave trade, promoting human dignity, freedom and compassion for enslaved people. His efforts led to the Slave Trade Act of 1807 which ended the British transatlantic slave trade, marking a huge step in respecting the dignity and rights of vulnerable people worldwide.

Human dignity is the same for all human beings, when I trample on the dignity of another, I am trampling on my own.
