Rutland is the smallest county in England.  A unique custom in Oakham the largest town in Rutland, involves peers of the realm giving a horse to the Lord of the Manor upon their first visit, a tradition over 500 years old, which continues to this day.

Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity.  It is an act of justice.  It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life.
