Staying in touch
Thank you and Goodbye!
As you are aware Louise and I finished with the campaign at the end of September 10, however we wanted to say a final farewell and thank you for the ongoing commitment and drive within the South West region. In our new roles we will both remain active Dignity Champions and urge you all to keep up the good practice, use the resources available to you and keep in touch with one another.
Kerry King, Regional Coordinator, Dignity in Care South West
Joining the Network
We urge you to join the network to share your ideas and best practices. Let the legacies live on and the campaign ethos grow by sharing your achievements with others. The Dignity in Care Campaign is about raising awareness and improving care standards. I don't need to remind you that we are an active social movement with the amount of registered Dignity Champions in the South West growing every day.
Those networks or groups need not be relevant to all Dignity Champions e.g. some may focus on issues for older people, others for learning disability, mental health, sexual health etc. They could include groups such as:
- LINks
- Carers Groups
- Support networks around specific conditions
- Older People's Forums
- Online Groups (e.g. Southwark Circle)
- Luncheon Clubs
- Voluntary sector organisations
- Advocacy groups
- Locally led Dignity Champions networks
The network map feature can also be used to post details of "closed" groups in place locally that focus on dignity issues e.g. Strategic Steering Groups, internal organisations groups, Reference Groups etc.
We want to make sure that Dignity Champions are able to tap into as many existing local groups and networks as possible to enable them to remain active and engaged in the longer term. Dignity Champions can add their network or now look for existing local networks or groups focusing on dignity issues at the link below:

By following the "Find a Regional Network" Link, you can see which networks have already been added to this map.
Please let people know what you are doing to make a difference and help inspire them to do the same
