Here is a scrutiny guide to dignity & respect to individuals in health & Social Care services. The intended audience for this guide is chairs & members of Overview & Scrutiny committees along with councils, local authorities, NHS staff, LINk's members, dignity champions and governing bodies. This guide will assist in raising awareness and understanding of Dignity & Respect.

Recent scrutiny reviews led by local councillors have really helped put dignity high on the agenda for their local health and social care services. This guide will help encourage and support more local councils to use the Overview and Scrutiny process to help ensure dignity in care for the people they represent.
