Keywords
The keyword search allows you to specify words or combinations of words to search for within pages on the site. By default, the search engine will match any of the words you enter into the keywords field.
You can use boolean operators to tell the search engine how it should look for the words you enter:
- and
searching for 'social and torbay' will return results that include both the words 'social' and 'torbay' anywhere in the page. - or
searching for 'social or torbay' will return results that contain either the word 'social' or 'torbay' anywhere in the page. - not
serching for 'torbay not social' will return results that contains the word 'torbay' but excludes all pages that also contains the word 'social'.
You can search for a specific phrase or combination of words by enclosing words within speech marks. For example, "social torbay".
Wildcard
You can use a wildcard character '*' to search for parts of a word. For example searching for 'fin*' will return results that include the words find, findings, finance, financial, final, etc.
What To Avoid
You should try to avoid using punctuation characters within your search and do not start or end you search with any of the boolean operators mentioned above.
