Care homes in Leicestershire recognised for dignity in care

More than 30 care homes, nursing and residential homes have been recognised for the quality of the care they provide by Leicestershire County Council.

Some received Leicestershire County Council Dignity in Care Awards, while others gained a QAF (quality assessment framework for older people) award at gold, silver or bronze level.

The Dignity Awards are given to those who have met 10 criteria, including zero tolerance on all forms of abuse, treating each person as an individual, maintaining the maximum possible level of independence and engaging family members and carers.
